The goal of the new Hearty Foundation project, “Together in Kraków: Integration of the Polish-Ukrainian Community” (polish title: Razem w Krakowie. Integracja społeczności polsko-ukraińskiej) is to strengthen the socio-cultural integration of Ukrainian citizens with the residents of Kraków through educational, cultural, intergenerational, and social activities. The initiative promotes joint participation, relationship-building, and the development of language and social skills. It was made possible thanks to funding from the European Union.
Who is the project aimed at?
The project targets three key groups:
- Children aged 6–14,
- Adults aged 18–59,
- Seniors aged 60+.
Who are third-country nationals (TCNs) from Ukraine, legally residing in Poland, specifically in Kraków, as well as adults and children from their immediate environment.
An important role in the program will also be played by members of the local community who want to actively participate in integration activities, both as supporters of immigrants and as participants in intercultural meetings and events.
Exciting times ahead!
We are about to embark on a unique, shared journey. What activities are planned for participants of the “Together in Kraków” project?
- Inaugural event

All of this will take place in our Hearty Space in Kraków’s Zabłocie district (ul. Zabłocie 20).

Shared Time and Experiencing Together
The project promotes long-term relationships between the Polish and Ukrainian communities, based on mutual respect, openness, and cooperation.
Intergenerational and educational activities help create support networks that will last beyond the project — through maintaining contact between participants, continuing collaboration, or participating in local initiatives. Joint activities with local institutions (schools, cultural centers, social organizations) increase social acceptance of migrants and encourage further collaborative initiatives.
We believe that, thanks to the “Together in Kraków” project, the Ukrainian community will build heartfelt relationships in their new home. ❤️
